Life is about expectations. Most days our experiences either meet or fall short of those expectations. Then, there are those glorious days, so few in number, when our expectations are blown out of the water. What better place to be for that than aboard the Southern Passage with Kim and Brian, host and hostess extraordinaire. Within just a few minutes, we felt like we had been lifelong friends with Kim and Brian, we felt like we were home. Their casual demeanor permeated our experience and nurtured our new friendship. For the first time in years I was able to shed the pressures of life and enter the realm of the laid-back. That oh so needed personal voyage would have been impossible without being a part of Kim and Brian’s adventurous and courageous attitudes and casual way of living life. Fortunately for us, it was contagious. Time aboard this floating beauty was both serene and serendipitous. The lullaby of the water gently lapping against the hull lulling us to sleep to the budding friendships being made, our expectations were surpassed beyond the horizon. Our experience created lasting memories that no photographs could possibly capture. How do you photograph serenity, stimulating conversation and genuineness? Our pursuit of a unique experience in accommodations became a journey into a world that had seemed only a fantasy. Our experience made me realize that there is more to life than our typical American dream of two cars and a chicken in every pot…with a swimming pool out back. That’s what serendipity is and serendipity sums our experience. We found far more than merely meeting our expectations would have allowed. Thank you Kim and Brian. We will come back (home) for certain. With much love, Ray & Janet
